Hyderabad(June, 29) : The sudden passing of Telangana activist, renowned folk singer, and Telangana State Warehouse Corporation chairman V Sai Chand has left Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in shock. Hailing from Palamuru district, Sai Chand achieved great heights in a short span of time before succumbing to a cardiac arrest.
Expressing his grief on Twitter, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) conveyed the CM’s deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Sai Chand. The CM recognized Sai Chand’s significant role in the cultural movement during the fight for a separate Telangana state. He acknowledged that his own meetings wouldn’t have been successful without Sai Chand’s invaluable contributions.
The CM praised Sai Chand’s ability to instill a revolutionary spirit among the masses through his songs and dances, and he prayed for strength for the grieving family during this crisis.
BRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao also expressed shock at Sai Chand’s untimely death and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. KTR, as he is popularly known, mourned the loss of a great artist and a humble soul. He paid tribute to Sai Chand’s remarkable legacy, stating that his name would forever be etched in the annals of Telangana’s history, both in the movement for a separate state and in the cultural realm.
Joining the chorus of condolences, Telangana minister T Harish Rao expressed deep shock over Sai Chand’s sudden demise and extended his heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family. Harish Rao, who considered Sai Chand as his younger brother, expressed the immense pain caused by this loss. He emphasized that Sai Chand’s role in the Telangana movement would never be forgotten by society.
