Telangana BJP Spokesperson: Modi Government Committed to Improving Economic Conditions of Farmers

Hyderabad(June, 29) : NV Subhash, the official spokesperson for the Telangana BJP, stated today that the Modi government is committed to improving the economic conditions of farmers in the country. He welcomed the government’s decision to continue the subsidy on urea and the announcement of a remunerative price for sugarcane farmers, noting that these measures would help improve their economic conditions.

According to NV Subhash, the central government has approved a fair and remunerative price for sugarcane payable by sugar mills to sugarcane farmers for the sugar season 2023-24. He mentioned that the Modi government has set the highest-ever fair and remunerative price of Rs 315 per quintal for sugarcane farmers.

 

This decision is expected to benefit sugarcane farmers in the districts of Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, and Adilabad in Telangana. Subhash also highlighted the significance of the Kamareddy region, which is known for its sugarcane production, with around 70 percent of farmers cultivating this crop. In addition, the central government has approved the continuation of the subsidy on urea for another three years. The aim of this decision is to boost the well-being of farmers, rejuvenate soil productivity, and ensure food security and environmental sustainability, as mentioned by the BJP leader.
