New Delhi(Sep, 22) : The special session of Parliament recently witnessed intense debates between the ruling party and opposition MPs. Amidst these discussions, a particularly contentious moment arose during a discussion about the success of Chandrayaan-3 in the Lok Sabha. BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri’s remarks about BSP MP Danish Ali ignited a significant uproar. Bidhuri insisted that credit for the achievement should be attributed to the Prime Minister, which led to a heated exchange. Shockingly, Bidhuri resorted to derogatory and offensive language, labeling Ali with slurs such as “Mullah,” “Katua,” “extremist,” and “terrorist.”
In the midst of this offensive tirade against the Muslim community within the sacred halls of Parliament, BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad and Harsh Vardhan were seen laughing, further exacerbating the situation.
In response to these controversial remarks, BSP MP Danish Ali expressed his expectation that the Lok Sabha Speaker would take action in light of this incident, as it is well-documented. He stated, “If the condition of an elected person like me is like this, then what is the condition of the common man? What will happen?”
Ali added, “I hope that justice will be done to me, and the Speaker will take action. If this does not happen, I will consider leaving this House with a heavy heart.”
In a poignant social media post, Danish Ali underscored the broader implications of such derogatory language, highlighting the fear and concern it generates among common Muslims. He wrote, “When your cadre leaves no stone unturned in insulting an elected MP with words like terrorist, extremist, mullah… in the Parliament, then what would he do with the common Muslims? The soul trembles even thinking about this.”
