In response to the public outcry, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) special chief secretary, Arvind Kumar-IAS, expressed his assurance on Twitter that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible. Subsequently, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) took action by dismissing three individuals, including a security personnel and two cloakroom workers, for their involvement in demanding money for allowing school bags inside the park. The cloakroom manager also received a penalty of Rs 2,500. Furthermore, it was decided that signboards would be displayed at all parks to inform visitors about the charges associated with the services offered. The swift action was initiated following the promise made by Arvind Kumar to address the issue promptly.
