Hyderabad(Mar, 1) : On March 1st, 2024, a coordinated effort by law enforcement led to the apprehension of a notorious interstate gang comprised of three women offenders from Maharashtra. The trio, identified as Renuka Jadhav, Anu Deva Jadhav, and Sitabai Shavarappa Gaikwad, were intercepted by B. Praveen Kumar and his crime team, including RHC Narsingh Rathod and RPC Shakeel Pasha, at Hyderabad.
These individuals were involved in a jewellery theft on February 12th, 2024, at Lingampalli Railway Station, resulting in the recovery of gold ornaments valued at Rs 5 lakh. Their modus operandi involved befriending fellow passengers, learning theft techniques, and executing crimes on running trains.
The recovered loot included two-row gold chains, a gold pusthelathadu, a gold chain, and four gold rings, totaling approximately 78 grams. Under the leadership of Sk. Jawed, DSRP Sec’bad Urban, and others, the accused were apprehended, with the efforts of GRP/RPF team receiving commendation from ADG Railway Mahesh Bhagwat IPS & SRP SP Shaikh Salima IPS.
