Bluetooth Technology for Drunken Driving Detection Introduced by ADGP Bhagwat in Police Training

Hyderabad(Feb, 29) : As part of ongoing efforts to curb road accidents, a training program was recently conducted by the Road Safety department at the Police Headquarters, spearheaded by Additional DGP Mahesh M Bhagwat. Attended by concerned police officers from 20 districts and commissionerates across the state, the program saw the distribution of certificates and modern breath analyzers by Additional DGP Bhagwat himself.

During his address, Additional DGP Bhagwat highlighted the utilization of Bluetooth searches in these modern breath analyzers to detect drunken driving, emphasizing its role in enhancing the skills of participating officers. He stressed the importance of not only enforcing laws but also fostering public awareness on responsible driving practices, including abstaining from alcohol consumption while driving and wearing helmets on two-wheelers.

Moreover, he underscored the necessity of educating offenders about the consequences of their actions, both legally and emotionally, including the traumatic impact on their families in the event of road accidents. Additional DGP Bhagwat expressed gratitude to Diageo and NGO CSRBOX for their contribution of 50 breath analyzers along with hands-on training for traffic officers, a gesture aimed at bolstering road safety measures. The event was also attended by DSP Vahid of Road Safety and Rajat Saroha from CSRBOX.
