Heavy Rainfall Hits Hyderabad and Neighboring Districts, IMD Issues Alert

Hyderabad : The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has issued a five-day weather forecast indicating extensive rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms for Hyderabad and many districts across the State. On Monday, Kapra, Ghatkesar, Cherlapally, and surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall. Ghatkesar recorded a remarkable 90.5 mm of rainfall, while Kapra received 60.5 mm within a few hours on Monday evening.

Several localities in Kapra and Cherlapally, including Dammaiguda, Nagaram, ECIL, Jawahar Nagar, Bollaraum, Alwal, and Moula Ali, witnessed intense rainfall on Monday evening. However, neighboring areas like RK Puram, Trimulgherry, Safilguda, and Malkajgiri reported only light showers.

Rains were also observed in various districts across the State, including Nalgonda, Suryapet, Siddipet, Medak, and Sangareddy.

According to the IMD-Hyderabad’s five-day forecast, widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph, is anticipated in several districts, including Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.
