Hyderabad :Â GHMC Charminar Zone Zonal Commissioner Venkanna emphasized the importance of coordination among all departments to ensure a smooth celebration of the upcoming Bakrid festival. In a review meeting held on Thursday at the zonal office in Narki Pool Bagh, Chandrayanagutta, Venkanna instructed officials to implement special measures to address sanitation and street lighting issues at mosques and Eidgahs, where special prayers will be held on the 17th of this month.
To prevent sanitation problems, local mosque managers will distribute garbage covers door-to-door for the proper disposal of animal waste from Qurbani, instead of leaving it on the streets. Residents are encouraged to use these covers and hand them over to Swachh auto tipper staff. Additionally, special teams, JCBs, and extra vehicles will be deployed to promptly remove animal waste and garbage from open garbage points. Necessary arrangements are being made to ensure residents face no difficulties during the festivities.
