Chairman Commends Telangana Government’s Efforts in Uplifting Minority Community

Chairman of ISMPC Launches ‘KCR KA TOHFA KHAWATEEN KE LIYE BHAROSA’ Scheme for Minority Women

Hyderabad(July, 11) : A Review Meeting was conducted by Mohd Imtiyaz Ishaq, Chairman of ISMPC (Institute of Skill Development and Minority Welfare) and A. Kanthi Wesley, IAS, Vice-Chairman & MD of Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation on Tuesday, and aimed to review the progress of implementation with all the District Minority Welfare Officers.

During the meeting, the Chairman launched a scheme named “KCR KA TOHFA KHAWATEEN KE LIYE BHAROSA.” This scheme aims to distribute free sewing machines to unemployed minority women, including Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis. Guidelines for the scheme have already been communicated to all the District Minority Welfare Officers, and a few cheques of the Economic Support Scheme Subsidy Loans were handed over to selected minority beneficiaries in Hyderabad District, in the presence of the District Minority Welfare Officer of Hyderabad.

The Chairman emphasized the importance of submitting the selection list of the Economic Support Scheme Subsidy Loans by the District Minority Welfare Coordinating Team as soon as possible. This is to ensure timely disbursal of subsidies to the selected beneficiaries. The Chairman and VC & MD directed all the DMWOs to diligently implement all the schemes of the Minority Welfare Department and complete any pending works on a priority basis.

During the meeting, the Chairman praised K Chandrashekar Rao , the Chief Minister of the Telangana State, and Koppula Eshwar, Minister for Scheduled Castes Development Department, & Minority Welfare , Disabled Welfare, and Scheduled Castes Welfare of the Government of Telangana. The Chairman appreciated their efforts in establishing and developing various allied business activities for the economic development and upliftment of the minority community in the state.
