Vanasthalipuram Police Bust Robbery Gang : Recovered Gold & Cash Rs. 8lakhs

Vanasthalipuram Police Commended for Efficient Handling of Robbery Investigation

Hyderabad(July 31) : Vanasthalipuram Police successfully cracked a robbery case and apprehended two accused individuals. The first accused, Nelapudi Suresh Kumar, also known as Suri or Suresh, aged 31, employed in a private job, belonging to SC (Mala) caste, resided in L.B. Nagar, R.R. District, Telangana, but originally hailed from Penumantra, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. The second accused, Paramjit Singh, 43 years old, worked as a lorry driver, residing near Gurudwara in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, with roots in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Naveshwar district, Punjab.

The incident unfolded when the police conducted vehicle checks at Injapur X Roads, stopping the accused on a Honda Activa with registration number TS 03 EA 3489. Unable to produce valid documents, the duo was brought to the police station. During questioning, they confessed that A1 had stolen the Activa from a Double bed room parking lot and used it to commit the crime. On July 26, 2023, A1 and A2 carried out a robbery at Sachivalayanagar, Vanasthalipuram, where they threatened a lone resident and stole gold ornaments weighing approximately 10 ½ tulas. The police apprehended the suspects and recovered the stolen gold ornaments, cash amounting to Rs. 1,10,000, and the Activa, valued at Rs. 8,00,000.

Both accused were repeat offenders, with A2 having been previously arrested in lorry theft cases in 2016 and A1 arrested for a bike theft case in 2020. Their motive for the robbery was to sustain their luxurious lifestyle and extravagant expenses.

The Vanasthalipuram Police, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police D.S. Chouhan, IPS, and DCP LB Nagar B. Sai Sri, and guided by ACP Vanasthalipuram S. Bheem Reddy, showed exceptional professionalism in detecting the case. Inspector of Police D. Jalender Reddy, Detective Inspector B. Venkat, and SI K.
