Telangana Govt Launches District-Wise Food Processing Industries to Boost Farmer Profits and Global Market Access

Hyderabad(June, 19) : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a significant initiative to boost farmer profits and expand market access for agricultural products. In discussions with representatives of Japan’s Satake Corporation, a renowned rice mill company, the Chief Minister outlined plans to establish district-wise food processing industries. This move will enable Telangana’s farmers, who have achieved the top position in paddy production nationwide, to sell their products in the global market and earn higher profits.

The state government will set up rice mills and rice bran oil producing mills, along with additional warehouses for grain reserves. These measures will ensure that harvested crops are not wasted and that farmers receive fair prices for their produce. The initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to prioritizing agricultural development and supporting farmers through various welfare schemes. With this strategic decision, Telangana aims to empower its farmers and enhance the demand for their agricultural products.
