“Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification shameful”: NSUI state president Balmoor Venkat Rao
Today a democratic procession was taken out by NSUI under the leadership of Mahbubnagar District Congress Party President G. Madhusudan Reddy, On this occasion, State President of NSUI Balmoor Venkat Rao said;
“It is a black day in the history of Indian democracy. Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Parliament is the culmination of Narendra Modi’s arrogance and dictatorship. It is a matter of shame that the Modi government is not only misusing constitutional institutions, but the highest democratic forum is also using.”
Parliament which is a democracy has a long history of constitutional values. Harassment of opposition leaders has become routine. They are disqualifying opposition leaders for being criminals and liars. This is not a matter of inter-party conflict.
To maintain democracy and constitutional values in the country, all democrats should openly condemn the misdeeds of the BJP government. NSUI State President Balamuri Venkat said that nefarious policies of BJP should be countered.
NSUI’s state in-charge Akshay Lakra, NSUI’s national convenor Dinesh Sagar, state secretary Ramesh, Shekhar, district chief secretary Fahd and others participated in the programme.
The Nampally BJP office was besieged under the leadership of Mahila Congress President Sunita Rao in protest against the cancellation of the post of MP by hatching a political conspiracy against Rahul Gandhi.
Police stopped and arrested 40 Mahila Congress workers and shifted them to different police stations.
