Senior Leader of BRS Party and Chairman, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Y Sathish Reddy strongly condemn the protest organized by the Telangana state unit of BJP against unemployment in Hyderabad. While unemployment is a serious issue in India,let us tell you that the Government of Telangana has taken important steps to solve this issue. Despite not getting any support from the central government, the Telangana government has provided more than 1,35,000 jobs in the first term and 91,000 government jobs in the second term. Additionally, over 25,00,000 jobs have been created in the private sector, making Telangana one of the best performing states in terms of job creation. On the other hand, the state BJP unit has never accepted the unprecedented investment of private giants in Hyderabad. Their BJP unit has tried its best to divert the investment coming to Hyderabad to Bangalore. The best example is KiteX.

Moreover, the public sector companies are being sold off by the Modi government, leaving lakhs of workers on the streets because of their inefficiency. It is disheartening to see that the BJP government is more interested in privatization of public sector companies than providing job opportunities to the people of India. The fact that more than 23 crore people are below the poverty line in India is a clear indication of the failure of the BJP government. The common man is facing the brunt of inflation and the youth have to struggle for employment. It is disheartening to see that the BJP is only interested in polarizing the society to win elections and not in addressing the real issues affecting the country.

Moreover, there is no mention or solution to MSP, inflation or unemployment in the budget presented by the BJP government. The promises made by the Prime Minister about his dream of getting the whole of America to line up for Indian visas has remained just a dream. In fact, more than 1.83 lakh people are expected to give up their Indian citizenship in 2022, which is the highest ever.

Therefore, I urge upon the state unit of BJP or Bandi Sanjay not to join the dharna in Telangana, rather do this drama of dharna at the Centre. The BJP government needs to take immediate action to address the issue of unemployment and focus on the vacant government jobs. He should stop privatization of public sector companies and focus on creating employment opportunities for the people of India.
