Telangana CID Files Charge Sheets in 5 Long Pending U.I. Cases at Warangal Regional Office
Hyderabad : In June 2023, the Telangana CID Regional Office in Warangal took a significant step in resolving long-pending cases, filing charge sheets in five under-investigation cases before the respective courts. These cases include:
Cr.No.40/2010: This case involves the publication of objectionable and controversial writings against Islamic beliefs and sentiments in a book titled “The Crescent over the World – A Boon or The Silent Holocaust.” Several individuals were charged in connection with this heinous conspiracy.
Cr.No.29/2015: The case revolves around a fraudulent scheme related to MGM Hospital in Warangal, wherein government funds were misappropriated during the supply of oxygen and nitrous oxide cylinders. Multiple individuals were implicated in this scam.
Cr.No.08/2016: In an international kidney transplantation racket, a victim was kidnapped and taken to Colombo, Sri Lanka, where his kidney was illegally transplanted. A group of individuals was charged in connection with this criminal act.
Cr.No.19/2020: This case involves cheating, impersonation, and malpractice in the Management Trainee (E&M) examination conducted by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited in Kothagudem. Several candidates were found guilty of conspiracy in this matter.
Cr.No.05/2021: The case concerns fraudulent Mudra loan applications submitted with fabricated documents, resulting in the disbursement of loans without proper verification. A group of individuals, including bank officials, was charged for their involvement in this loan scam.
All accused in these cases have been arrested. Mahesh M. Bhagwat, IPS, Addl. DGP, CID, and B. Gangaram, S.P., I/c R.O. Warangal, appreciated the efforts of the investigating officers and staff of the Regional Office and announced that they would be suitably rewarded for their diligent work in resolving these long-standing cases.
