Shabbir Ali Denounces Modi’s Hindu-Muslim Rhetoric, Urges Voters to Reject Divisive Politics

Hyderabad : In a vehement response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent accusations likening the Congress’ election manifesto to the Muslim League, Congress senior leader and Advisor to the Telangana Government, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, issued a scathing condemnation. Shabbir Ali denounced PM Modi’s divisive rhetoric, decrying it as discriminatory and aimed at sowing religious discord. Expressing dismay at Modi’s resort to Hindu-Muslim rhetoric for electoral gains, Shabbir Ali reminded that historically, it was the BJP, not the Congress, that had shown support for Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League.

He emphasized the Congress’ consistent stance against divisive politics, contrasting it with the BJP’s historical fondness for figures like Jinnah. Shabbir Ali challenged PM Modi to clarify BJP’s historical alliances with the Muslim League and the party’s leaders’ past praises for Jinnah. Criticizing Modi’s contradictory stance of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ juxtaposed with targeting the Muslim community, Shabbir Ali demanded clarity on Modi’s treatment of Indian Muslims.

Accusing Modi of a decade-long failure to deliver and erosion of democratic institutions, Shabbir Ali urged voters to reject BJP’s fear-mongering tactics and support the Congress in the upcoming elections to uphold democracy and constitutional values. Additionally, he welcomed prominent leaders from Kamareddy into the Congress fold, signaling growing support for the party in the region and expressing optimism for a favorable outcome in the upcoming polls.
