Lucknow(May, 17) : Senior Supreme Court advocate Zafaryab Jilani, who was the lawyer for the Muslim side in Ayodhya’s Ramjanmabhoomi and Babri Masjid dispute, died in Lucknow on Wednesday. Zafaryab Jilani was ill for a long time. He breathed his last at the hospital in Nishatganj, Lucknow.
Apart from being a well-known advocate of the country, Zafaryab Jilani was the secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and was also the convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Not only this, he has also been the Additional Advocate General of UP. After his death, Muslim religious leaders expressed grief.
