While conducting frisking and checking on T.No. 11020 Konark Express, after it passed Vikarabad Railway station at approximately 1315 hours, suspicions were aroused by a bed roller found in the B-6 coach.
Upon investigation, two black and pink shoulder bags were discovered inside the cabin of the bed roller. These bags contained a total of seven bundles of contraband Marijuana, commonly known as Ganja, wrapped with brown tape, with each bundle weighing 2 kgs, summing up to a total of 14 kgs. Two individuals, Manoj Parmar and Anil Updhyay, confessed to their involvement in transporting the Ganja to Mumbai.
According to their confession, on March 30, 2024, at Bharahampur Railway station, an unknown person offered them Rs. 25,000 each to transport the Ganja to Mumbai, enticing them with the promise of additional earnings due to their meager incomes.
