Minors’ Charminar Trip Foiled: Rail Police Rescue Teens, Parents Called from Chattisgarh
Hyderabad(Mar, 29) : On March 29, 2024, at 09:30 hrs, personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) successfully rescued three children identified as Kiran Singha, aged 16 and a 10th-grade student, Henpushpa Patel, aged 15 and a 9th-grade student, both hailing from Patewa, Mahasamund, Chattisgarh, and Shivam Mishra, aged 17 and also a 10th-grade student, originally from Pewandi, Rothas, Bihar state, currently residing in Raipur, Chattisgarh.
The trio had formed acquaintance via Instagram two months prior and decided to travel from Raipur to Hyderabad to visit the Charminar monument without informing their parents. They boarded train no. 12252 Wainganga SF Exp (Korba-Yesvanthpur) from Raipur railway station on March 28, 2024, at 12:45 hrs, and disembarked at Kacheguda railway station the following day. Patewa police have filed cases under sections 363 IPC for the incident. Subsequently, the authorities, along with the children’s parents, traveled from Patewa, Chattisgarh to retrieve the youngsters. The children were then handed over to the Child Welfare Committee through a member of Child Line named Rajitha (contact: 9502585253) for appropriate assistance and placement.
