Rahul Gandhi Challenges Modi’s Statement on China’s Land Takeover in Ladakh

Kargil(Aug, 25) : On Friday, Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party, stated that people in Ladakh are well aware that China has occupied Indian land. He contradicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim that no land was taken by China. Rahul Gandhi’s comments followed a conversation between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the BRICS summit in Johannesburg.

Rahul Gandhi, who recently toured Ladakh on his motorcycle, emphasized the strategic significance of the region. He highlighted that during his visit to Pangong Lake, it became evident that China had encroached upon thousands of kilometers of Indian land. Disputing the Prime Minister’s assertion, Rahul Gandhi called it “absolutely false,” while speaking at a public gathering in Kargil on the final day of his nine-day Ladakh tour.
