Khammam(July, 2) : Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi addressed a massive gathering in Khammam, Telangana, where he labeled the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) B-team. He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s remote control was in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. RaGa announced that if Congress forms the government in the state, it will grant a monthly pension of Rs. 4000 to the elderly and widows. He also extended an invitation to Congress members who had left the party, stating that the party’s doors were open for their return.
Speaking at the ‘Telangana Jana Garjana Sabha’ attended by a massive crowd estimated to be over one million, Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the Congress party would not associate with the BRS, which he deemed corrupt. He criticized the party for changing its name from TRS to BRS, meaning “BJP-Rishtedar Samithi.” Gandhi accused the TRS-led government of crushing the dreams of the poor, farmers, and laborers in Telangana over the past nine years. He further accused Chief Minister Rao of considering himself the king of Telangana and treating the state as his personal fiefdom.
#RahulGandhi, has often used his wit and humor to make political statements. In one of his speeches, he coined the term "BRS" and cleverly defined it as "BJP Rishtedar Samithi," Addressed a public rally in #Khammam(#Telangana) @TheDeccanBharat pic.twitter.com/T6KoT3PDoU

Highlighting the issue of land rights, Rahul Gandhi assured the people that the land allocated to Dalits, tribal people, and the poor by Indira Gandhi and the Congress party would be returned to them. He urged Congress workers to unite and remove the BRS from power in Telangana, drawing parallels with the party’s success in Karnataka.
Accusing Chief Minister Rao of corruption, Gandhi claimed that all the investigative agencies were aware of his actions, which led to him aligning as the BJP’s B-team. He revealed that whenever Congress opposed the BJP in parliament, the BRS played its role as the BJP’s ally.
Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the Congress party would not attend any meeting involving the BRS due to its corrupt nature and affiliation with the BJP. He reiterated that the Congress ideology revolved around love, in contrast to the BJP’s propagation of hate.
Gandhi expressed confidence in the Congress party’s strength and predicted a two-way contest between Congress and the BJP’s B-team (BRS) in Telangana, as the BJP had already been marginalized in the state. He assured the crowd that, just as they defeated the BJP in Karnataka, they would also emerge victorious against the BJP’s B-team in Telangana.
Notable attendees at the rally included AICC’s Telangana incharge Manikrao Thakre, PCC president Revanth Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka, Jeevan Reddy, Madhu Goud Yakshi, Renuka Chaudhary, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and others.
