GRP Secunderabad Apprehends Interstate Laptop Offender, Recovers Valuables Worth Rs. 7,50,000
Hyderabad(Mar, 19) : Today, the diligent efforts of the GRP Secunderabad staff led to the apprehension of an interstate laptop offender. Identified as Shrishail Bhosagi, aged 29 and hailing from Shivaji Nagar, Regimental Bazar, Secunderabad, the accused had been preying on unsuspecting and solitary train passengers within the Secunderabad Railway Station limits. His modus operandi involved deploying empty laptop bags to make off with valuable electronic goods.
In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement recovered a total of 10 laptops, an Apple iPad 11 Pro, and a Yamaha Fascino scooty, collectively valued at Rs. 7,50,000. Notably, Bhosagi had previously been involved in similar crimes, with a history of ten cases reported under RPS Secunderabad, as well as an additional case under Cr.No. 109/2023 U/s 380 IPC at Bagilgunte PS, Karnataka State. His pattern included online sales of stolen laptops through platforms like Cashify/Cash on Pic App.
The successful operation was conducted under the guidance of Mahesh M Bhagwat-IPS, ADGP of Railways & Road Safety, Telangana State, and the supervision of Shaik Saleema-IPS, SP Railway Secunderabad, with the dedicated efforts of S.N. Jawed, DSRP/SC/Urban, B. Saieashwar Goud, IRP/Secunderabad, M.A Majeed, SIRP/Secunderabad, and the cooperation of RPF staff.
