PM Modi’s Raksha Bandhan Gift: Rs 200 Price Cut on LPG Cylinders for All Users

New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi has made a significant announcement by reducing the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200, extending this beneficial adjustment to all users. Union Minister Anurag Thakur declared this as a thoughtful gesture from PM Narendra Modi, specifically timed for the celebration of Raksha Bandhan, especially for the women of the nation. A notable milestone, this decision is a testament to the government’s dedication to the upliftment of women. Additionally, 75 lakh women will be granted free gas connections on the auspicious occasions of Raksha Bandhan and Onam.

The price reduction of Rs 200 per gas cylinder will be applicable across the board. This pivotal decision has been sanctioned by the union cabinet, underlining the Prime Minister’s commitment to women’s empowerment. This administration has also achieved milestones such as eradicating open defecation, providing respite from smoke, ensuring access to tap water, and instituting the Ayushman scheme.

In the current scenario, the cost of an LPG cylinder in Delhi surpasses Rs. 1100. A staggering 10 crore 35 lakh individuals stand to benefit from this decision. Furthermore, the Ujjwala scheme will see the provision of 75 lakh new free-of-cost connections. The initiative extends a reduction of Rs 400 for Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries and Rs 200 for the general population, solidifying its impact on a wide spectrum of the populace.
