Hyderabad(Oct, 6) : In a significant development for India’s Semiconductor Mission, Telangana is poised to become the host for Kaynes Technology’s Semiconductor OSAT and Compound Semiconductor facility. This endeavor will witness a substantial investment of INR 2,800 Crores and generate direct employment opportunities for more than 2,000 individuals. K T Rama Rao, Minister for ITE&C and Industries in the Government of Telangana, announced this milestone following a meeting with Ramesh Kannan, Managing Director of Kaynes, and Savitha Ramesh, Chairperson of Kaynes. The facility will be situated in Kongara Kalan, adjacent to the forthcoming electronics manufacturing facility of Foxconn.
Minister K T Rama Rao expressed his delight at welcoming Kaynes’ Semiconductor OSAT and Compound Semiconductor facility to Hyderabad, emphasizing Telangana’s commitment to nurturing a robust semiconductor ecosystem. He cited the state’s supportive infrastructure, proactive governance, vibrant R&D environment, and skilled talent pool as factors making Telangana an attractive destination for semiconductor industry investment.
Ramesh Kannan, CMD of Kaynes Technology, commended Team Telangana for their unmatched efficiency and collaboration in making this venture a reality. Chairperson Savitha Ramesh emphasized that the proposed facility will boast world-class technology and machinery.
The meeting was also attended by key officials, including Principal Secretary for Industries & IT Jayesh Ranjan, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of TSIIC E. Narsimha Reddy, Director Electronics Sujai Karampuri, and Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon.
