Kachiguda Railway Police Bust Notorious Robbery Gang Targeting Commuters

Hyderabad : On the night of April 27, 2024, a CRPF Sub-Inspector fell victim to a robbery on an MMTS Train between Yakuthpura and Huppuguda Railway Stations. The Kachiguda Railway Police, in collaboration with RPF staff, swiftly responded by apprehending the notorious gang of four responsible for the crime. Subsequent investigations led by Inspector R. Yellappa uncovered a string of criminal activities involving the accused within Hyderabad and the Rachakonda police commissionerate. The gang, led by Mohammed Ibrahim alias Ibrahim Pathan, operated with a modus operandi of targeting unsuspecting individuals for easy earnings.

Their latest escapade involved coercing the CRPF officer into surrendering his valuables at knifepoint, resulting in injuries to the victim’s hand and the loss of gold jewelry, phones, and cash. The diligent efforts of law enforcement resulted in the apprehension of the culprits and the recovery of stolen items.

The case is being investigated by IRP R.Yellappa, Kachiguda RPS, under the guidance of  Shaik Saleema, IPS, SRP, Secunderabad and supervision of S.N. Jawed,  DSRP (U) Secunderabad. ADG Railway  & Road safety Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has appreciated team work and they will be suitably rewarded.
