K Chandrashekhar Rao Welcomes Praveen Kumar to BRS, Stresses Unity Among Dalits

Former IPS Officer R S Praveen Kumar to Join BRS, Alleges Pressure from BJP on BSP Leadership

Hyderabad(Mar, 18) : Former IPS officer and Bahujan activist R S Praveen Kumar is set to join the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the presence of BRS Party Chief K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday. Praveen Kumar, who previously led the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as its state unit president, parted ways with the BSP after the party’s leadership urged him to withdraw the electoral understanding reached with the BRS, citing pressure from the BJP on the BSP leadership.

Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao emphasized the importance of Dalit unity, stating that Dalits, constituting 20 percent of the population, would have significant influence if they remained united. Speaking at the event where Praveen Kumar and several Dalit youngsters joined the party at Erravelli, Rao underscored the necessity of continued discourse on Bahujan ideology and urged individuals to stand by their commitments once a stance is taken
