Hyderabad City Police Launches Informative Exhibition: Commissioner Inaugurates Stalls for Traffic Safety and More
Hyderabad(Jan, 11) : In a bid to promote awareness on various crucial aspects of public safety, Hyderabad City Police organized a special exhibition inaugurated by K. Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, today on January 11, 2024. The event, attended by distinguished police officials including Vikram Singh Mann, IPS., Addl. CP L&O, P. Viswaprasad, IPS., Addl. Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad, and A.V. Ranganath, IPS, Jt. CP Crimes & SIT, aimed to enlighten citizens about traffic safety, women’s safety, and the adverse effects of drug abuse.
Commissioner Sreenivasa Reddy highlighted the historical significance of the exhibition, emphasizing its importance in creating awareness among the public. He encouraged citizens to visit the stalls, where they can gain insights into the state-of-the-art technology employed by Hyderabad City Police in traffic management and other services. The traffic stall showcased technology devices used for traffic management, including Road Safety Signs, Laser Speed Guns, Body Worn Cameras, ITMS Cameras, Communication Sets, Road Safety Equipment, and more.

The Commissioner urged the public to participate actively, noting that last year, approximately 1.30 lakhs of visitors attended the Hyderabad City Police stalls. He emphasized the significance of educating children on traffic safety and rules, expressing the view that road sense should be instilled in them from a young age. Commissioner Sreenivasa Reddy extended appreciation to the traffic and other officers, as well as the Exhibition Society members, for their efforts in setting up the informative stalls. The event was attended by key figures such as Subba Rayudu, IPS., DCP Traffic-I, Sharat Chandra Pawar, IPS, DCP Central Zone, N. Ashok Kumar, DCP Traffic –II, Dara Kavitha DCP Women Safety Wing, Ranga Rao, Addl. DCP Traffic-I, ACsP, and Inspectors of Hyderabad Traffic Police, along with Exhibition Society members.
