Dr. Sravan Dasoju Accuses CM Revanth Reddy of Undermining Democracy

Dr. Sravan Dasoju Criticizes CM Revanth Reddy for Violating Democratic Principles

Hyderabad : In a recent statement, Dr. Sravan Dasoju criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for undermining democratic principles by allegedly buying MLAs from other parties, describing this act as a betrayal of the people’s mandate and a detriment to the democratic process. Quoting former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, he said, “Party badalna logon ke mandate (iqtidar) ke saath dhoka karne ke sath-sath jamhoori amal ko bhi nuqsan pohanchata hai.”

Dr. Dasoju emphasized that Revanth Reddy’s actions violate the anti-defection laws established during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure, which were intended to preserve the integrity of the democratic process. He accused Reddy of damaging the spirit of democracy and constitutional values by ignoring these laws.

He pointed out the hypocrisy in Revanth Reddy’s actions, noting that as TPCC President, Reddy had strongly opposed party defections. Dr. Dasoju argued that Reddy’s current behavior contradicts the democratic principles Rajiv Gandhi advocated for, undermines the sanctity of elections, and disregards the sentiments of voters.

Dr. Dasoju also condemned the unlawful arrest of young leaders from the BRS party, demanding their immediate and unconditional release, and criticized the Chief Minister’s actions as a diversion from fulfilling his own election promises.
