Hyderabad(Jan, 25) : Director General of Police Ravi Gupta recently commended and rewarded the winners of the essay writing competition organized on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day 2023. The award ceremony, held at the DGP office, saw the enthusiastic participation of police personnel from different ranks and categories. Divided into two groups—ASIs, ARSIs, and their junior staff, as well as SIs, RSIs, and their senior staff—the competition showcased the diverse perspectives of twelve officers on the designated theme.
During the event, DGP Ravi Gupta, accompanied by IGP Welfare Stephen Ravindra and other dignitaries, applauded the dedication of the participants and emphasized the significance of essay writing in developing communication and analytical skills. Gupta expressed his belief that such competitions provide a valuable platform for police personnel to express creativity and critical thinking.
“I encourage all personnel to participate in such initiatives and contribute to fostering a culture of intellectual discourse within the department,” stated DGP Ravi Gupta. The cash prizes for the top three positions in each category were awarded as follows: ₹20,000 for the first position, ₹15,000 for the second, and ₹10,000 for the third, underscoring the department’s commitment to recognizing and encouraging intellectual endeavors among its members
