DGP Anjani Kumar felicitated the police officers who safely evacuated Telangana residents from Manipur
Hyderabad, May 9 : DGP Anjani Kumar today congratulated the police officers who worked hard to evacuate Telangana residents to Hyderabad safely in the wake of the law and order situation in Manipur state. In a program held at the DGP’s office, the DGP honored police officers Additional DGP-CID, Mahesh Bhagwat, Abhilash Bist, DIG B. Sumathi along with Jayaram, Nagesh Babu, Tirupati, Sudarshan and other police officers who were on duty in the control room set up in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Anjani Kumar praised the police officers for their excellent service in emergency situations like evacuation of Telangana residents from Manipur. He said that although there is no proper communication facilities in Manipur which is a mountainous region, it is commendable to work in coordination with various government departments in contacting the police and military officials there and talking to the people of Telangana and bringing them here. He said that every crisis of this kind is a new lesson.
Additional DGP-CID, Mahesh Bhagwat said that after setting up a control room and talking to the officials of other departments from time to time, they were able to bring in 112 people safely. Additional DGs Shivdhar Reddy, Abhilasha Bist, IGs Shanawaz Kasim, M. Ramesh, DIG B. Sumathi and others participated in this program.
