Hyderabad(Sep, 17) :Â During his address at the Vijayabheri Sabha held in Tukkuguda, TPCC President Revanth Reddy made several noteworthy remarks. He emphasized that during the nine years of BRS rule, the state of Telangana witnessed significant destruction. He hailed Sonia Gandhi’s arrival in the region as a beacon of hope for the people of Telangana, bringing happiness to the state. Revanth Reddy accused both BRS and the BJP of conspiring against the Vijayabheri Sabha’s occurrence.
He went on to highlight the challenges faced in organizing the assembly, with both the central and state governments initially denying permissions. Despite these hurdles, local farmers stepped forward and generously provided the land for the event, ensuring its success.
Revanth Reddy also took the opportunity to accuse KCR of betraying the people of Telangana, particularly the farmers and youth. He promised that the guarantees announced during the Vijayabheri Sabha, which included financial assistance for women, support for farmers, free electricity, housing for homeless families, education grants, and healthcare coverage, would be swiftly implemented once the Congress government came into power.
Six guarantees announced by the Congress party in Vijayabheri Sabha
1. Maha Lakshmi
a. Financial assistance of Rs 2500 will be provided to women every month
b. Provision of the gas cylinder only for Rs 500
c. Free travel for women in TSRTC buses across the state
2. Raithu Bharosa
a. Rs.15,000 per acre for farmers and tenant farmers, and Rs.12,000 per acre for agricultural laborers
b. Rs. 500 bonus for paddy
3. Gruha Jyothi
200 units of free electricity facility for all families
4. Indiramma Indlu (Indiramma Housing)
a. Plot for every homeless family and financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh
b. In addition, 250 sq yards of plot for Telangana movement activists.
5.Yuva Vikasam
a. VIDHYA BHAROSA CARD – Vidhya Bharosa Card, with the upper limit of interest-free Rs. 5 lakh grant, provides financial assistance to students to cover college fees, coaching fees, foreign study fees, foreign travel expenses, tuition fees, purchase of books and study materials, hostel fees, laptop, examination fees, research equipment, skill development courses and other education-related payments
b. Establishment of Telangana International Schools in every Mandal.
6. Cheyutha
a. Pensions of Rs.4,000 per month will be provided to the elderly, widows, disabled, beedi workers, single women, toddy tappers, handloom workers, AIDS, filaria patients and kidney patients undergoing dialysis
b. Rs.10 lakh health insurance coverage for the poor
