Hyderabad(Nov, 17) : Popular actor-politician Vijayashanthi officially joined the Congress in a significant move witnessed by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday. This decision came after her resignation from the BJP on November 15.
Addressing the media, Vijayashanthi emphasized that the Congress presented a credible alternative to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. She expressed her motivation to join the Congress as a strategic measure to prevent BRS Chief and CM K Chandrashekhar Rao from securing power in the state for a third consecutive term.
