Hyderabad(Jan, 16) : Recently, YS Sharmila took a significant political step by merging her party with the Congress, marking her entry into the party. In recognition of her political stature, the Congress Party appointed her as the President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, a position of considerable influence.
The Congress high command formalized this appointment by issuing an official letter of appointment. It’s noteworthy that YS Sharmila is the daughter of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and the sister of the current Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy. This move has undoubtedly added a new dynamic to the political landscape in the state. YS Sharmila thanked the party high command by tweeting on becoming the President of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee.
