World Sparrow Day celebration was celebrated at KBR Park

Hyderabad: World Sparrow Day was celebrated at KBR Park in which forest officials, bird lovers and students participated enthusiastically. Chief Forest Conservation Officer (PCCF, HOFF) RM Dobriyal on this occasion, said that birds, especially sparrows, continue to be a part of our lives and it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that they do not become extinct. RM Dobriyal was the chief guest at the World Sparrow Day (20March) function held at KBR Park (Kasu Brahmanandha Reddy National Park ).

Everyone remembers the days of playing with sparrows in childhood and if those sweet memories are to be passed on to the coming generations, then environmental protection should be everyone’s duty. He said that the Government of Telangana is giving priority to reforestation and restoration of forests and good results are being seen and nature is coming alive again.

Dobriyal asked the walkers association and voluntary organizations to participate in the environmental welfare programs in a big way along with increasing the awareness among the school children.
