Hyderabad : As part of the Wildlife Week celebrations, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, hosted a Wildlife Expert Talk today, with K. Shekar Reddy, former Curator of NZP and retired DFO, as the chief guest. In his address, Reddy discussed the crucial role of zoos in wildlife conservation, breeding programs, and public education.
He highlighted best practices in enclosure maintenance, prophylactic care, and the documentation of wild animals, while also offering key safety measures for staff working with animal enclosures. The event saw enthusiastic participation from zoo staff, including animal keepers and security personnel. Several senior officers from NZP also attended the event.
