Hyderabad Police Arrest Man for Illegally Supplying Hookah Pots and Flavors

Hyderabad : On a credible tip-off, the Commissioner’s Task Force (Central Zone) and Khairtabad Police apprehended a man, identified as Nagaraju Raju, alias Raja King, in Maruthi Nagar, Khairtabad. The accused, aged 29, was found running an illegal online service, delivering hookah pots and suspicious flavors to customers for easy monetary gains. Originally from Tamil Nadu, Nagaraju Raju had worked at a local café and used his connections to sell and deliver hookah products, charging ₹2,000 per pot. Police seized various hookah pots, smoking flavors, and accessories, along with a Suzuki Access 125 bike and an iPhone.

The accused had previously been arrested in a similar case and has now been handed over to Khairtabad Police for further action. Hookah smoking, especially among minors and youth, has become a growing concern in Hyderabad, and this operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal trade.
