Hyderabad: G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism and State President of BJP, found himself in a confrontation with the police. The BJP had planned an inspection of double-bedroom houses in Batasingaram, prompting Kishan Reddy, along with MLA Raghunandan Rao and other party leaders, to travel from Shamshabad to Batasingaram. However, the police intervened, halting their progress.
I strongly denounce the arrest of @BJP4Telangana State President and Union Minister, Sri @kishanreddybjp Garu, for urging people to visit double-bedroom housing sites across the state and shed light on the government's failure to fulfill their election promises.

Rachakonda Commissioner of Police, D.S. Chauhan, advised the BJP leaders against organizing agitation programs without proper permission. In response, Raghunandan Rao questioned the actions of leaders from another party who had previously held protests on the roads without permission. In a show of protest against the police’s attitude, Kishan Reddy and Raghunandan Rao decided to sit on the road despite the rain.
Subsequently, the police detained the BJP leaders, escorting them through various parts of the city before finally leaving Kishan Reddy at the BJP state office in Nampally. In the wake of these events, the BJP office was heavily guarded by the police. The incident reflects the tense relationship between the party and law enforcement authorities, as they clash over issues of public demonstrations and political activism.
