DAVOS : The Government of Telangana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSW UAV Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Defence, to establish a state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) manufacturing facility in the state. In collaboration with a leading US-based defence technology company, JSW UAV is set to invest approximately Rs 800 crore in this ambitious project.
The initiative is expected to generate over 200 high-value jobs, further cementing Telangana’s position as a hub for cutting-edge technology and defence innovation. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized that Telangana’s efforts to diversify into manufacturing across sectors such as defence, semiconductors, private space, and FMCG are beginning to bear fruit, positioning the state as a key destination for global investments. Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu expressed optimism, stating that this agreement will set a trend in the sector and help Telangana emerge as one of India’s leading manufacturing hubs.
