Telangana Minorities Commission Achieves Positive Outcomes in Pending Cases

Hyderabad : The Telangana State Minorities Commission, led by Tariq Ansari as the  Chairman, recently conducted hearings for three important cases on July 25, 2023. The cases involved issues with Osmania University and Dairatul Maarif employees.

In the first case, regarding Prof. Mohammed Ansari, the University’s Registrar has agreed to consider him for the regular pension scheme and pay fixation as per the Pay Revision Commission’s recommendations. The University will issue the necessary orders after receiving approval from the Government.

The second case involved Prof. Dr. Mehjabeen Akther, Director of Dairatul Maarif, against whom a criminal complaint was filed. The Registrar assured to review the matter and consider withdrawal of the case soon.

The third case dealt with five employees of Dairatul Maarif who have not received salaries since August 15, 2022. The Registrar promised that as soon as the budget is released, the pending salaries will be paid, and the employees will continue in their service.

These achievements come after thorough hearings and mark positive steps towards resolving long-pending issues with the University and its employees.
