Hyderabad(Jan, 17): Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations scheduled for the 26th of this month at Public Gardens, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari conducted a review meeting on Wednesday at the Telangana State Secretariat. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need for seamless coordination among officials from various departments to ensure the success of the Republic Day program without any glitches. It was announced that the Governor would unfurl the national flag in the Public Gardens, with heightened security measures in place, including armed security and traffic management directives from the police department.
The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department received instructions to adorn key government structures such as Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, Legislature, and the High Court with electric lights. The electricity department was advised to guarantee uninterrupted power supply, while the health department was tasked with organizing an ambulance equipped with essential facilities and ensuring an ample supply of ORS packets. The Municipal Department was directed to oversee sanitation efforts and provide drinking water to all attendees. Various other departments were urged to make thorough arrangements as per their respective responsibilities.
Notable participants in the meeting included DGP Ravigupta, Political Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Home Department Principal Secretary Jitender, Fire Services DG Nagireddy, Governor Secretary Surendra Mohan, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose, and officials from the Police, Defense, and other relevant departments.
