Hyderabad(Feb, 1) : Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that economically and socially devastated Telangana needs to be rebuilt, with the police playing a key role in this endeavor. Addressing a gathering of IPS officers in Hyderabad on Thursday, Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of the police’s role in the state’s reconstruction. He assured the officers that there would be no governmental pressure on the police force, emphasizing that they are partners in governance rather than subordinates. Reddy underscored their commitment to serving the people, inviting input and collaboration from all stakeholders. Recognizing the challenges faced by the state over the past decade, Reddy urged police officers to actively engage in initiatives to combat drug trafficking, particularly in making Hyderabad a drug-free city and freeing young men and women from addiction.
He also highlighted the growing threat of cybercrimes and encouraged the use of modern technology and best practices from developed countries to address this challenge. Reddy commended the tireless efforts of the police in maintaining peace and security, affirming the government’s commitment to addressing their concerns.
The event was attended by DGP Ravigupta, Additional DG Shivdhar Reddy, CID Additional DG Shika Goyal, Hyderabad CP Kothakota Srinivasa Reddy, and other senior police officials.
