Hyderabad : On September 20, 2023, the Special Zonal Crime Team of South Zone, CCS, Hyderabad, successfully apprehended an individual by the name of Rajan Dass, also known as “Bluetooth.” Rajan Dass, aged 28 and working as a laborer, was residing on the footpath near Neilofour Hospital in Hyderabad. The team was able to recover a total of six mobile phones, comprising two Real Me phones and four Vivo Y16 phones, as well as additional items such as OnePlus earbuds, a Realme smartwatch, an MI power bank, a cell phone charger adapter, charger cables, and a Hikvision DVR from his possession.
The crime in question involved Rajan Dass breaking into the Touch Mobiles Shop near Yadagiri Theatre, IS Sadan, Hyderabad, on the nights of September 13th and 14th, 2023. He gained entry by breaking through the exhaust hole and proceeded to steal cell phones and various accessories. As a result of this incident, a case under Section 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at the IS Sadan Police Station.
Following his apprehension, Rajan Dass, along with the recovered property, was handed over to the IS Sadan Police Station for further necessary legal action. Notably, two individuals, identified as Raju (also known as Raju Gidda) and Hanumanthu (also known as Jugadu), who were believed to be receivers of stolen goods and resided near the Nampally Footpath, remained absconding in connection to this case. The efforts of the South Zone Crime team, led by Inspector V. Anand Kishore and comprising several dedicated officers and personnel, played a pivotal role in the successful resolution of this case under the supervision of G.
