Hyderabad(1st April) : Rachakonda Special Operations Team, LB Nagar Zone team along with Hayath Nagar police apprehended two persons who are procuring and selling of Anesthetic & Hormones injections, which is using as steroids to build their muscles in a short period of time. Total Seized (30) injections.
The prime accused Balaji Darmaji Punduge resident of Hayath Nagar and native of Maharashtra, he is into the medical field since 20 years. He migrated to Hyderabad for eking livelihood and started working in Max Life Hospitals, Karmanghat from 2015-2018. Later he joined Srinivasa Hospital of Hayath Nagar and working as Compounder and residing in Anmagal Colony, Hayath Nagar. Balaji Darmaji Punduge used to collect the above said injections from Hospital authorities and supplies to the needy customers, mostly who are addicted to Ganja and other narcotic substances.
Prasad Gulabrao Pundage is the nephew of Balaji Darmaji Punduge and residing along with him. Presently he is working as a security guard in MaxCure Hospital, Hayath Nagar. On the instructions of Balaji Darmaji Punduge, the Prasad Gulabrao Pundage is supplying Anesthetic & Hormones injections to needy customers.
The drug was identified as Mephentermine sulphate injections IP. The cost of the drug, upon prescription, is ₹268 in the market. However, the two were selling it for different costs based on the demand. “They sold it for anywhere between Rs. 1,000 to Rs.2,000.
The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of D S Chauhan-IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, under the guidance of K. Muralidhar, DCP, SOT, Rachakonda, B. Sai Sree, DCP, LB Nagar Zone and D. Venkanna Naik, ACP, SOT, Rachakonda, K. Purushotham Reddy, ACP, Vanasthalipuram Division, H. Venkateshwarlu, Inspector of Police, Hayath Nagar, PS, by A. Sudhakar, Inspector of Police, SOT, LB Nagar Zone and Police Personnel of SOT, LB Nagar Zone and Hayath Nagar PS.
