Hyderabad(Aug, 24): Battini Harinath Goud, a notable distributor of fish medicine prasad, has passed away at the age of 84 at his residence in Hyderabad’s Bolakpur Padmasali Colony due to an illness. He is survived by his wife, Sunitra Devi, as well as two daughters and two sons. Originating from the Dood Bowli , he was one of the five Battini brothers, alongside Sivaram, Soma Lingam, Vishwanath, and Uma Maheshwar. In 1983, he relocated from Old Basti Dood Bowli to Bholakpur Padmasali Colony.
For several decades, he played a significant role in the distribution of fish medicine prasad annually on Mrigasira Karthi day, which was believed to provide relief from asthma and intestinal diseases. His efforts drew people from across the country, making the event a widely recognized occasion.
