Railway Minister should take responsibility and quit : Dr Dasoju Sravan

Dr Dasoju Sravan stressed that Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw should resign immediately taking responsibility for the gruesome accident, which will go down in the history of India as the most tragic train accident

Hyderabad(June, 3) : BRS senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan held Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for the Balasore tragic train accident which claimed the lives of more than 300 people and injured 1000 people, saying that PM Modi’s mishandling of Indian Railways has led to the weakening of the railways and put passenger safety in serious danger.

Expressing grief over the Balasore train accident, Dr Dasoju Sravan stressed that Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw should resign immediately taking responsibility for the gruesome accident, which will go down in the history of India as the most tragic train accident.

“The Balasore train accident in which the three trains collided showcases the gross negligence and utter lack of concern for passengers safety in Indian Railways. It is unfortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who takes utmost pleasure in inaugurating Vande Bharat trains for photo-ops has least interest in ensuring the safety of rail passengers. Train Collision Avoidance System was developed by Indian Railways in 2011-12 during the tenure of the then Railways Minister Mamta Banerjee. But the PM Modi Government has failed to deploy it on Indian rail tracks,” said Dr Daosju Sravan

“Indian Railways has been weakened according to a conspiracy under PM Modi’s leadership. Downgrading the significance of Railways, PM Modi has merged the Railway budget with the General Budget. He is even taking steps aggressively to privatise Indian Railways and intentionally sabotaging the most robust public transport system which is the lifeline of common man,” said Dr Dasoju Sravan, pointing out the mistakes of PM Modi in case of Indian Railways.

“If there was an anti-collision system in place, then the tragic accident would have been avoided. The Balasore train accident which claimed lives of more than 300 people and injured 1000 is the direct result of PM Modi Govt’s inaction and apathy,” fired Dr Sravan.

BRS senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan censured Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seriously focus on safety measures in Indian Railways, rather than using Vande Bharat train inaugurals for photo ops and publicity. Expressing severe displeasure over the Balasore train accident which claimed more than 300 lives, Dr Sravan came down heavily on Modi Sarkar for failing to deploy anti-collision technology on Indian rail tracks.

“While the Train Collision Avoidance System was developed by UPA Govt, NDA Govt led by BJP renamed it as Kavach. Railway Minister Ashiwni Vaishnaw even gave a presentation about Kavach anti collision system and shamelessly claimed it as PM Modi Sarakar’s initiative aimed at preventing train accidents. But actually, it is nothing but one more publicity gimmick of the PM Modi team. While Indian Railways has a total route length of more than One Lakh km, Kavach anti-collision system has been installed on just 1,445 km-long rail tracks,” explained Dr Dasoju Savan exposing the utter negligence and inaction of PM Modi Government.

“It would have been better if PM Modi and Railway Minister Aswhini Vaishnaw had worked on implementing anti-collision technology rather than indulging in Vande Bharat publicity blitzkrieg. Just 2 percent of our rail tracks have anti collision technology and lack of safety is a serious concern. But Modi Sarkar is shockingly focused on starting more Vande Bharat high-speed trains, instead of working on safety issues, What’s even more shocking is about 1.4 lakh rail safety posts are lying vacant, highlighting the criminal negligence of Modi Sarkar in case of rail safety,” further said Dr Dasoju Sravan highlighting the sorry state of affairs.

Dr Dasoju Sravan demanded resignation of Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, stressing that the Railway Minister should take responsibility and quit, even if he has slightest of shame.
