PV Satish, Founder of Deccan Development Society, Passed Away
Sangareddy : PV Sathish, the founder of Zaheerabad-based Deccan Development Society (DDS), died at the age of 77 at a private hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment for health issues in the early hours of Sunday.PV Sathish, who organized “Purana Fasal Mela” every Sankranti, has been working with women farmers of Zaheerabad since 1983 to conserve old crops.DDS has won many awards for its work during the last four decades.DDS women had won the Equator Award presented by the United National Development Programme(UNDP).
