Nizamabad: On a significant Wednesday, IT and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao inaugurated the impressive IT Tower in Nizamabad. Standing as a testament to progress, the state-of-the-art 55,000 sq ft building has already attracted fifteen companies, marking the beginning of their operations within its modern confines.
The tower’s significance extends beyond housing IT companies that will contribute to local employment; it also encompasses the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) Centre and RGUKT Basara’s Innovation Hub. Minister KTR inaugurated these transformative centers, designed to empower youth by honing their skills and nurturing innovation.
The establishment of IT Towers in Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Siddipet, and Mahbubnagar had already marked Telangana’s commitment to fortify the IT landscape in Tier-II/Tier-III towns. With the unveiling of the new IT Tower in Nizamabad, this journey takes a momentous stride forward. Additionally, plans for inaugurating an IT Tower in Nalgonda are underway, with approval secured for a forthcoming IT Tower in Adilabad.
The event saw the presence of key figures including Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister; K.R. Suresh Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP; MLAs Bajireddy Govardhan, Bigala Ganesh, Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy, and Shakil Aamir Mohammed. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Industries & Commerce Department; E.V. Narasimha Reddy, VC & MD of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (TSIIC); Vijay Rangineni, CEO of IT Investments; Shrikant Sinha, CEO of TASK; and Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basara, were also present, collectively marking this momentous occasion.
