Hyderabad(Nov, 13) : A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in Nampally when a fire broke out in a residential building, leading to the loss of nine lives. The fire reportedly started at around 9:30 am while a mechanic was repairing a car in the building’s cellar. A spark during the repair ignited diesel stored in a container, causing the fire to spread rapidly. The flames also reached chemical drums in the cellar, producing thick smoke and a massive fire. Nine individuals lost their lives due to asphyxiation, and three others in critical condition were promptly taken to the hospital. The victims have been identified, and the fire department, using ladders, worked to rescue people from the upper floors of the building.
The Telangana government has declared a financial support of Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to the families of the victims in the tragic fire incident at Bazar ghat in Nampally on Monday. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao, along with Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, went to the site to gather information about the incident from the rescue operation teams. The government’s announcement aims to provide some assistance to the affected families during this difficult time
