Medak(May, 24) : Telangana CM KCR’s political secretary and MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy, visited the constituency to attend various programs as part of his schedule, was distressed to see the piles of paddy on the roads. The MLC asked the farmers of the villages, why the rice grain in the respective villages has not yet gone to the rice mills through the government procurement centers. The farmers brought to the attention of the MLC about the problems arising in the procurement of paddy grain through government procurement centers.
The farmers have complained to the MLC about the problems of trucks not arriving on time, the problem of illegals, excessive depreciation, trucks queuing for days at rice mills and unloading. MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy, who responded immediately, spoke to Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar, Commissioner of the concerned department, Anil Kumar over the phone. The MLC advised the Civil Supplies Commissioner Anil Kumar to issue instructions to the officials of the District Civil Supplies Department without taking any actions that would harm the farmers in the matter of paddy grain collection. Later, MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy asked the District Collector to complete the collection of paddy grain without any difficulties and without any loss to the farmers and in a timely manner at the office of the Integrated District Collectorate of Medak District.
The MLC asked the collector to collect paddy grain as soon as possible keeping in mind the natural calamities such as untimely rains. Despite some problems, the officials of Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Serf and Cooperation departments are working their best in the matter of paddy grain collection, the MLC said.
