MLC Kavitha Spearheads OBC Rights Initiative in Madhya Pradesh

Datia (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 28: BRS MLC and former Telangana CM KCR’s daughter, Kalvakuntala Kavitha, clarified that BRS party leader KCR’s movements for the achievement of Telangana state are inspirational for all, and the OBC rights movement is inspired by KCR. She emphasized that every movement led by KCR will yield results. Drawing from KCR’s example, she expressed satisfaction in initiating the struggle for the rights of OBCs in Madhya Pradesh, demanding a BC caste census and quotas for OBC women in women’s reservation in assemblies.

MLC K. Kavitha served as the chief guest at the inaugural program of the “Pichhda Adhikar Yatra” launched by OBC Adhikar Morcha founder Damodar Singh Yadav from Datia district center in Madhya Pradesh. MLC Kavitha received a warm welcome from OBC Morcha leaders, workers, and local residents in Datia.

Following the yatra’s launch, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha remarked on KCR’s unwavering resolve during the Telangana movement, emphasizing his dedication to achieving the statehood despite numerous challenges. She highlighted KCR’s tenure as CM, citing his extensive efforts for various segments of society, particularly farmers. She lauded KCR’s initiatives to streamline agricultural practices, ensuring farmers’ access to fertilizers, seeds, and government procurement of harvested crops. Additionally, she commended KCR’s industrial development initiatives in Telangana, which generated approximately 30 lakh jobs. Kavitha contrasted Telangana’s progress with Madhya Pradesh’s challenges, pointing out migration due to limited job opportunities. She criticized the lack of representation of OBCs in key government positions, questioning the failure of parties like Congress to address this issue during their tenure.

Kavitha expressed confidence in the potential of the ongoing movement led by Damodar Singh Yadav, asserting its significance in empowering the public and backward classes. She emphasized the movement’s growth trajectory, likening it to a river’s journey from a small stream to a formidable force. Damodar Yadav echoed her sentiments, predicting the movement’s nationwide impact and urging youth and women to engage actively.

Reflecting on her visit to Madhya Pradesh, Kavitha drew inspiration from historical figures like Jhansi Rani and Avantibai, highlighting the state’s legacy of resilient leaders like OBC woman Uma Bharti, who not only served as the state’s Chief Minister but also emerged as a prominent national leader.
