MSME Boost: Exclusive Policy and Support Mechanism Launched by Industries and IT Minister
Hyderabad(Dec, 14) : Minister for Industries and IT, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, assumed office at the BR Ambedkar Secretariat today, beginning his day early in the morning. Upon taking charge, he swiftly took action by signing three crucial files addressing long-standing demands from stakeholders in the IT and Industries sectors.
The first significant initiative involves the development of an exclusive policy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the establishment of an institutional mechanism to provide support and guidance to MSMEs in the State. Recognizing them as the backbone of industrial growth and employment creation, this move aims to foster a conducive environment for their development.
The second initiative focuses on the creation of a centralized platform for online filing of Right to Information (RTI) applications, applicable across all departments. This step responds to the consistent requests from RTI activists and civil society, aligning with practices adopted by several other states. The platform’s implementation is expected to enhance accountability and transparency in government departments, addressing a long-standing concern.
The third initiative underscores the integration of digital technologies across all government departments and agencies to enhance public service delivery and departmental efficiency. An immediate study will be conducted to assess the readiness of all departments and identify opportunities to leverage digital tools effectively. This forward-looking approach reflects the commitment to modernizing governance and embracing technology for the benefit of the public
